you can still tweet using the #LastResort tag though, just let the writers have some peace for a lil’ while :)

As many of you are aware, in the last few days a campaign was started to drum up some buzz around making Max Adler a regular on Last Resort, should the pilot receive favorable reviews and the show be signed on to a full season in the fall.

We here at OFMAV obviously support any effort to help Max gain job security, we also understand that some people, because of their deep attachment to Dave, have conflicting emotions about how to deal with the uncertainty of what that might mean for Max’s role on Glee.  Because ABC and FOX are not on the same network, regular status on Last Resort would mean he could no longer appear on Glee without jumping through some hoops (think NPH).

That being said, nothing, at this point, it one-hundred percent certain. We don’t know if Last Resort will be picked up.  We don’t know, if it is picked up, that Max will be asked to sign a contract as a regular.  We also don’t know if we can expect to see Max on Glee again.

To that end, it only makes sense to continue to lobby for Max on both fronts.  No good putting all our eggs in one basket, right?  So, please DO continue to tweet #makemaxadleraregular to both the Last Resort and Glee production staff.  If you still feel inclined to write letters to RIB+, we strongly encourage you to do so.

Just because we’re attacking one avenue of opportunity for Max’s career, does not mean that we plan to or should abandon the other.  After all, all of this is for the sake of Max’s future success, right?

OFMAV started in the interest of furthering Max Adler’s role as Dave Karofsky on Glee … but for most of us, love for the character has been eclipsed by love for the actor himself. Max is currently shooting the pilot of a new 1-hour drama entitled Last Resort … in a guest role. Since ALL of us would like to see him more regularly, and pirates get shit done, why don’t we let the creators of this new show know how much we want Max cast as a regular?

Our mission is this: tell everyone you know to get on twitter and tweet to #makemaxadleraregular to @shawnryantv and to the head writer @karlgajdusek.

Creator Shawn Ryan and writer Karl Gajdusek are LOVING all this twitter response (they are not at all used to it, like the Glee folks are now) and it may, in turn, help to keep Max on the show as a regular if they see that he can draw in viewers! So please please join in! Remember not to spam them, just give them some Max love!!!

Everyone had so much fun picking apart the meaning behind Kurt’s bouquet to Dave in hospital, that we thought it’d be fun to send floral thanks to the writers/directors responsible for the past 2 episodes of Glee: Ali, Roberto and the Brads.

So, *at this very moment*, a florist based not 5 blocks from the Paramount lot is sourcing flowers for us: Canterbury Bells or dark pink roses for “gratitude” and Stars of Bethlehem or snowdrops for “hope.”

Pirates: not only fluent in the art of spotting Kurt’s piratical fashion, but also students of floriography. Arr!

Going in to the 7-week Gleeless spell, Aki pointed out it would be a good idea to keep up the pressure on the writers. They’re still writing and filming right now. So write in. Let them know you want Dave back as a *regular* presence on Glee, and why. Be honest and personal. ♥

Not entirely sure this is even feasible, (if y’all even like the concept) but I was thinking What exactly do we want? What are we asking of the powers-that-glee? We want to SEE Dave’s journey to a happy future, right? And hopefully hear him sing along the way. And I thought about what physical object could represent that…

I’m picturing an ornament-sized snow globe, done up with glitter inside ala “crystal ball” (to SEE into the future) with a picture of a smiling Dave inside & maybe one of those electronic musical buttons on the bottom. If we can find one that’s customizable, maybe we can even record the “I’m so happy” sound bite from the hospital scene?

So that’s my general concept, but it’s just an idea. I’m happy to help however I can with whatever everybody agrees on :)

I think if you went w/ this http://content.photojojo.com/diy/photo-snow-globes/ direction I think it would be brilliant. It would be cheaper and really mean something b/c it’s all homemade. You can put words on the back of the photos too. So maybe we can make like a care package. This, the wedding toppers, the letter and the snack size nutella. What do you think?

I think the snow globe idea’s super original and definitely attention-getting! Would prefer them (snow globe and wedding toppers) as separate projects. We have a long, gleeless stretch ahead of us. There’s time for discreet projects. Also, how can we get others involved?
